Thank You to All Who Have Helped AMA Houston Raise Funds to Rebuild the Galveston Business Community
About the Fundraising Efforts
The AMA Houston Board of Directors partnered with the Galveston Chamber of Commerce to help in the rebuilding of the Galveston business community.
It is estimated that approximately 85 percent of all Galveston businesses were completely destroyed by Hurricane Ike. Through the efforts of the Galveston Chamber of Commerce, the Galveston community is beginning to receive the funding and support it needs to rebuild from the ground up, but much more help is needed.
AMA Houston has therefore decided to reach out to its members to donate to this worthy cause. The money donated by AMA members will be matched in full by the AMA Houston chapter and donated to the Chamber of Commerce Foundation to help rebuild Galveston.
